This episode is brilliant because it doesn't mock religion, nor does it blindly endorse it. It uses Sheldon’s logic to ask questions many people have but are afraid to voice. Watching him calculate the logistics of Noah’s Ark or question the logistics of creationism is peak Young Sheldon humor. It establishes the precedent that Sheldon isn't trying to be difficult; he is simply trying to make the world fit into a logical framework.
