Sewer: Descaling Abingdon

Sewer descaling is the process of removing from the inside of sewer pipes. Unlike drain unblocking (which removes soft blockages like wipes or grease), descaling specifically targets cement-like buildup that narrows the pipe diameter, reduces flow, and leads to repeat blockages.

A: Only if the policy includes trace and access for drainage. Most standard policies exclude scale buildup as “wear and tear.” Check your policy or consider a drainage-specific add-on.
