The 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble won’t go down as an all-time classic like 1992, 2001, or 2018, but it’s easily the best Rumble of the ThunderDome era. Edge’s journey from #1 to winner is a masterclass in veteran psychology, and the returns of Christian and Carlito provide genuine warmth. The match kicked off with a star-studded pairing. Entrant number one was the Hall of Famer, Edge, marking his first Rumble appearance since coming out of retirement. Entrant number two was Randy Orton. This setup immediately ignited the crowd (virtually, via the ThunderDome) as we were treated to a renewed clash of two legends who had defined the previous decade.
