Unbound modernizes the Generation 3 experience by implementing features that later became standard in the series. There is a physical/special split (a feature introduced in Generation 4, but retroactively engineered into this Gen 3 game), allowing Pokémon like Gengar to finally use their Ghost moves effectively.
