A vulnerability in Solaris 8’s Telnet daemon, detailed in Lajadu v4.1, was independently discovered by a security researcher three months later. Sun Microsystems quietly patched it, but no credit was given to the Lajadu collective.
A private IRC network called BlueBox, run by Lajadu adherents, was infiltrated by the FBI. The resulting affidavit (unsealed in 2006) mentioned "a file known in the community as ‘Lajadu’ containing a methodology for evading state-level packet sniffing." lajadu file
