Bharat Ka - Veer Putra
Born on May 9, 1540, in Kumbhalgarh, Maharana Pratap was the 13th ruler of Mewar, a kingdom known for its fierce independence. Unlike many Rajput rulers who submitted to Akbar after the Battle of Haldighati (1576), Pratap refused to bow. He spent years in exile, sleeping on stone floors and eating grass-bread to avoid surrendering his honor. His eventual reconquest of most of Mewar (excluding Chittorgarh) by his death in 1597 turned him into a folk hero. The show’s title, “Bharat Ka Veer Putra,” directly references this legacy—positioning him not just as a regional king, but as a national icon of pride and resistance.
