Emule | Server List

When you launch eMule, the client connects to one of the servers on your list. The server does not host the files itself. Instead, it functions as a giant index or telephone book. It stores the IP addresses of the users connected to it and the list of files they are sharing. When you perform a search, you are asking the server to look through its index for sources matching your query.
