Graphisoft Archicad Twinmotion __link__ Jun 2026

Twinmotion, developed by Epic Games and built on the Unreal Engine, brings the power of the gaming industry into architecture. It specializes in atmosphere, lighting, and texture. The software allows for the instant placement of high-quality vegetation, realistic skies, and dynamic weather systems. When an Archicad model is imported into Twinmotion via the Direct Link feature, the transformation is instantaneous. The grey, schematic massing of a BIM model becomes a sun-drenched villa or a rain-slicked urban tower.

Twinmotion automatically maps these to high-quality PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials. You don't start from scratch. You start 90% of the way there. Drag in a few trees, adjust the sun slider, and you have a sunset render before your coffee gets cold. graphisoft archicad twinmotion

Imagine you are designing a hillside villa. You move a shear wall in Archicad to adjust for structural loads. In the old workflow, you’d re-export, re-import, and re-texture that wall. Twinmotion, developed by Epic Games and built on

Twinmotion reads Archicad’s surprisingly well. When you import your model: When an Archicad model is imported into Twinmotion

No workflow is flawless. Very complex Morphs or intricate Curtain Walls sometimes need a manual material tweak upon import. Also, Twinmotion handles geometry beautifully, but it does not (yet) read Archicad’s or Properties for data-heavy analysis.

As they worked, Emma and Ryan were able to walk through their design in virtual reality, getting a true sense of the building's layout, scale, and spatial relationships. They could also share their visualizations with their clients, who were amazed by the level of detail and realism.

The day of the client presentation arrived, and Emma and Ryan were confident that they had created something special. They set up a large screen and began to walk their clients through the design, using Twinmotion's interactive tools to highlight key features and sustainable design elements.
