Singapore's climate is influenced by its location near the equator and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The ITCZ is a belt of low-pressure systems that encircles the Earth near the equator, where the trade winds from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres converge. This convergence zone brings warm, humid air from both hemispheres, resulting in a relatively constant temperature and high levels of rainfall throughout the year.
